news06/2007m-ch x-factor in Birmingham The micro-compact home arrived in Birmingham on 8th June as the centre-piece of the inaugural Festival of Xtreme Building. The Festival of Extreme Building, curated by SOZO Collective, is a six-month exercise in experimental building which will highlight the £6 billion regeneration of Birmingham’s Eastside. Installed on a highly prominent site in the heart of the bustling city centre, the m-ch is an emblem for the festival, which aims to showcase innovative design to broker genuine cooperative working relationships between the city’s developers, regeneration and design professionals, the local authority and the people of Birmingham whilst the city undergoes major redevelopment. The festival runs from 9th June till September 2007 and as part of Architecture Week members of the public can win an overnight stay in the unit on site.
